Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand which pages are useful. It is cookieless and does not collect personal information or track you across other websites. We see aggregate figures such as page views, referrers, and country, not individuals.

Affiliate links

Some links on AcademyGems are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the retailer may set its own cookies and may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Those cookies and the retailer's data handling are governed by that retailer's own privacy policy, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure in the site footer and on every review.

What we collect directly

We do not run accounts, comments, or newsletters yet, so we do not collect names or emails through the site. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send so we can reply.

Your choices

Because our analytics are cookieless and anonymous, there is nothing personal to opt out of. You can still block analytics with your browser or an extension. If you are in a region with data rights (such as the EU or California) and believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will help.
