AI Lab Pro is a $9/month Skool community of around 298 members, billing itself as the number one community for building products with Claude Code and communities that pay you every month. The subject matter is a good fit for what this site covers: shipping a small software product with AI assistance and getting it to recurring revenue. The price is low and there is a free trial. The reservations are about who is teaching it.

Who runs it

Mark Mars, with a co-founder identified on the page only as "Jack". This is where AcademyGems has to be blunt, because the honesty rules cut both ways.

Mark Mars has a YouTube channel with roughly 367 subscribers, describing him as a UK entrepreneur with years in technology and marketing, now in AI automation. That is a real person with a real account, but it is not a teaching track record. The headline numbers on the sales page, $13,500 in monthly recurring revenue within 80 days and 371 paying customers in the first ten weeks, name no product, and AcademyGems found no third-party confirmation of either. The co-founder is a first name with no traceable identity at all.

Compare that with Agentic Labs at 102,000 subscribers or Maker School at 484,000 plus a named operating company, and the gap is the story. That does not make the teaching bad. It means the revenue claims, which are the core of the pitch, rest on nothing you can check.

Who it is for

People who want the cheapest possible look at the Claude Code micro-SaaS path and who will use the free trial to judge the content on its own merits rather than on the founder's numbers. At $9 the financial risk is genuinely small.

Who should skip it

Anyone buying because of the MRR claims. Those are the least supported part of the offer, and a 298-member room with an anonymous co-founder is not where AcademyGems would place a bet on someone else's revenue story. Skip it too if you want a peer network, since this is one of the smallest communities covered here.

Pricing, and the one rule

$9/month with a free trial. The rule: use the trial, and evaluate the actual course material and build logs while ignoring the sales page entirely. If the teaching stands up on its own, $9 is fair. If your reason for joining is the $13,500 MRR figure, that figure is exactly the thing you cannot verify.

First-look verdict

Right topic, right price, thin credentials. The free trial makes it a low-cost look at a subject AcademyGems rates highly, and the material may well be useful. But the founder record is the weakest checked in this category and the co-founder cannot be identified at all, so treat the income claims as decoration rather than evidence. If you want the same subject with a track record behind it, Agentic Labs is worth the extra $20 a month.
